I sincerely believed that because of my own record and the terms of the mission’s mandate we would receive the cooperation of the Israeli government. Its refusal to cooperate was a grave error. For those who criticize the Goldstone report for not addressing Sderot in detail, just remember that it was the Israeli government that denied Goldstone access and would not allow him to investigate Palestinian rocket attacks…
