I watched the BBC appearance – it was quite boring and silly. Besides the ridiculous posturing over who Winston Churchill “belongs to”, the mainstream politicians were unable to convincingly reject a moron like Griffin. Jack Straw especially bumbled his part… dodging criticism of the government by repeatedly directing the conversation back to Griffin’s bigotry.

I am beginning to think that it may be a breath of fresh air to have some straight-talking Israeli politicians for a change (repugnant as they may be). Rather than simply feigning diplomacy, on his very first day as Israeli Foreign Secretary Avigdor Lieberman just came right out and dismissed the 2007 Annapolis conference as having “no validity”.

The BBC has a difficult choice before them indeed—should they appeal to help save lives and in doing so demonstrate a partiality for humanitarian concerns? Or should they simply do nothing and demonstrate a partiality for dying Palestinians?
